We operate both in hobby and professional segments
From its origins to present days
The origins of the group date back to the early 1920s, when its founder took his first steps in a still unbranded market. Since then, a lot of progress has been made and today Blumen Group, after years and years of experience, can boast the title of protagonist in the market of horticulture and gardening seeds, both in the hobby and professional segments.
The reasons for success
From research to product quality
Research, innovation, service and product quality are the distinctive elements of the Group’s success, which from seeds has extended its experience to the fertilizer market, where it has been able to carve out a leading role in a short time.
The last 20 years have been decisive in the growth of the Group, which today represents an example of a pole of SMEs aggregation in the segment, recognized as Italian excellence.
This growth process was accompanied by major investments in R&D, aimed at obtaining horticultural varieties that stand out not only for their aesthetic qualities but above all for their “flavor” characteristics.
The reasons for success
The Italian Flavor
This is the concept underlying the project, called “ITALIAN Flavor”, which the Group is concentrating its resources on. A project that aims to safeguard the precious varietal heritage of our country and offer a product that reflects the values of the typical flavors of the past. The constant commitment in Research and Development and in the selection and registration of new seed varieties, has led over the years to create increasingly innovative and qualitatively advanced products, distributed through a widespread sales network in Italy and abroad.
In 2017 Blumen Group acquired Samen Mauser A.G, a leading seed company in Switzerland, with a broad portfolio that includes flowers and vegetables seeds, bulbs and gardening products.
On 23rd October 2023 the Italian company Sipcam Oxon S.p.A. acquired 100% of Blumen Group S.p.A. company and the subsidiary companies Samen Mauser (CH) and Blumen International (UK).
